पद्यानां मातृभाषायाम् अनुवादं कुरुत ।

Question 14 Marks

(1) अभयं मित्रादभयममित्रादभयं ज्ञातादभयं परोक्षात् ।
अभयं नक्तमभयं दिवा नः सर्वा आशा मम मित्रं भवन्तु ॥

(2) अग्ने नय सुपथा राये अस्मान् विश्वानि देव वयुनानि विद्वान् ।
युयोध्यस्मज्जुहूराणमेनौ भूयिष्ठान्ते नम उक्तिं विधेम ॥

Answer

(1) Make all of us free from the fear of friend or enemy, from that which is known, from that which can not be seen and from day or night. May all of us be fearless. May all the directions be my friends.
(2) O god of fire, lead us towards the good path (towards wealth and prosperity.) O god, remove treachorous bondages and bless us with different type of knowledge and make us civilized.

Question 24 Marks

(1) समानो मन्त्रः समितिः समानो समानं मनः सह चित्तमेषाम्।
समानं मन्त्रमभि मन्त्रये वः समानेन वो हविषा जुहोमि ॥

(2) सहृदयं साम्मनस्यमविद्वेषं कृणोमि वः ।
अन्यो अन्यमभि हर्यत वत्सं जातमिवाघ्न्या ॥

Answer

(1) May our thoughts be similar, may the assembly be similar, may our conscience be similar. I make them think. I perform yajna with objects for sacrificed fire.
(2) I make you with equal heart with equal mind and without envy. Keep loving one another as a cow and a calf do.

Question 34 Marks

(1) सहृदयं साम्मनुस्यमविद्वेषं कृणोमि वः ।
अन्यो अन्यमभि हर्यत वत्सं जातमिवाघ्न्या ॥

(2) अयं मे हस्तो भगवानयं मे भगवत्तरः।
अयं मे विश्वभेषजोऽयं शिवाभिमर्शनः ॥

Answer

(1) I make you with equal heart with equal mind and without envy. Keep loving one another as a cow and a calf do.
(2) My hand is prosperous, it is most fortunate. It is like a panacea which can cure all diseases. Moreover, it is having blessing touch.
