• The types of resources available in terms of retrieval are as follows:

1. Recoverable Resources:

• Resources that can be recovered in a short time after one use. Such as natural manure and forests.

2. Recoverable Resources:

• Once used, its re-creation is not possible in the near future. Such as mineral oil and mineral coal.

3. Natural Resources:

• Which does not diminish despite the use of natural resources. Such as solar energy, atmosphere etc.

4. Rare resources:

• Mineral resources that are only available from a few places. Such as gold, uranium etc.

5. Individual Resources:

• Resources that come from just one or two locations around the world. Such as cryolite.

• Industrialization and urbanization have reduced the area and quality of pastures required for the animal husbandry business.
• The cost of livestock, fodder and veterinary medicine has become expensive in animal husbandry activities.
• Pastoralists receive very little return on livestock.
• In addition, animal husbandry activity has not been adequately modernized.
• So pastoralists cannot get more income by investing on a commercial basis.

• The government should provide the following facilities so that the pastoralists can raise animals on a commercial basis.
• Pastoralists should be given special incentives by the government.
• Special areas for animal husbandry should be declared.
• The government should provide financial assistance for the purchase of cattle, for their good rearing and for the construction of stables.
• Special tax exemptions should be given to livestock based industries.
• Livestock breeders should be provided low credit facility.

• Animals are a natural resource.
• The most widely used food in the world is milk and milk products.
• The main animal in the dairy industry is the cow.
• Many countries in the world raise cows scientifically.
• On a commercial basis, the dairy industry has developed further in the USA, the former Soviet Union, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Argentina, etc.
• Due to Amul Dairy of Anand, dairy industry has developed on a commercial basis in the entire state of Gujarat.

• Until the European peoples reached North America and South America, the resources on these continents were unused.
• Even today many countries are unable to utilize those resources despite having natural resources due to lack of investment, technology and skills.

• The classification of resources is as follows:

1. Resources based on ownership: family, national, global, etc.
2. Resources on the basis of retrieval: retrievable, retrievable, rare, single, etc.
3. Resources based on distribution: ubiquitous, generally accessible, potential, unknown, etc.
4. Resources based on use: Resources that are not used resources that cannot be used.
