What makes It difficult to pass a thread through the eye of a needle?
Answer
The end of a yarn which we want to pass through the eye of a needle splits into thin strands called fibres and hence it becomes difficult to pass the thread through the eye of a needle.
The process of making yarn from fibre Is called spinning. In this process, fibres from a mass of cotton are drawn out and twisted. This brings the fibres together to form a yarn.
Simple devices used for spinning are hand spindle (takit) and charkha.
