The Indian Constitution has decided to give free and compulsory education to every child of a country of the age $6$ to $14$ years.
  • In addition, boys and girls have been given the same right to get education.
  • However, due to the traditional belief, in some areas of the country, girls have some difficulties in enjoying the right to education.
  • Parents do not even complete their primary education. This prevailing discrimination in the society promotes evil custom like child marriage. Girls do not have the power to progress in education mainly due to child marriage.
  • The government is providing free education and special facilities to girls at every level. Even though, parents are reluctant to give their daughters, a higher education.
  • For the last two decades, the government has been working hard to ensure that girls complete their primary education.
  • Yet, in today's society, there are many questions about educating girls. Parents are not ready to send their daughter out of their village to study.

A housewife makes a 'home' to the house with four walls. गृहिणी गृहम् उच्यते। means a housewife is only called a home.

  • Thus, women maintain the dignity, limits and prestige of the family by fulfilling all the responsibilities of the home, while today's educated housewife contributes to the financial responsibility of the home by doing a job or business in her favourite field along with the responsibility of the home.
  • At present women are establishing their own identity by achieving remarkable achievements in various fields. Women are working in the fields of sports, films, entertainment, politics, space, scien and research.
