Ankit buys a memory card costing ₹ 550. If the rate of sales tax is $5 \%$, then find the total amount payable by him.
Answer
 Total amount payable by Ankit
$=550+5 \% \text { of cost price }$
$=550+\frac{5}{100} \times 550$
$=550+\frac{55}{2}=\frac{1100+55}{2}=$ ₹ $577.5$

Answer
$\because \frac{7}{3} \% \text { of the number }=147 $
$ \Rightarrow\frac{7}{300} \times \text { Number }=147 $
$ \therefore \text { Number }=147 \times \frac{300}{7}=6300$
