View full question & answer→ An Indian soldier serves the country by being a part of the Army, Navy or Air Force. He looks after the security of the country. He guards the borders so that no foreign enemy or terrorist can enter into the country and harm it. His life is full of hardships as he has to bear the heat, cold, rain and snow. His life is always at risk and he hardly gets to be with his family. In times of war his family is always tensed about his well-being. A soldier has to learn to use the latest fighting equipment. During wars the soldiers have to live in trenches and tents without proper facility of food, water and sanitation. During natural disasters like earthquakes and floods, the teams of soldiers help out as rescue workers and see that people are shifted to safety. A soldier looks smart in his uniform and commands respect. I would like to be a soldier when I grow up.
