(1) People should not gather at the place where rescue work is going on during gas leakage. (2) Do not enter the area effected by gas leakage till it is declared completely safe by the authority. (3) Do not join the rescue operation without complete training and necessary equipment.

(1) Do not accept any thing or a parcel from an unknown person. (2) Never rent a house to an unknown person without collecting complete details about him. (3) Do not sell or purchase a house, mobile, vehicle to or from an unknown person.

The experts on Disaster Management have divided disasters into two categories: 1. Natural disasters and 2. Man-induced disasters.
1. Natural disasters: Flood, cyclone, tsunami, drought, earthquake, volcano, forest fire, etc.
There are two sub-divisions of natural disasters: (i) The disasters which can be predicted; flood, cyclone, tsunami, drought, etc. (ii) The disasters which cannot be predicted; earthquake, volcano and forest fire.
2. Man-induced disasters: Fire, industrial accidents, bomb blasts, riot, traffic problem, etc.
