Find $X$ and $Y,$ if $\left|\begin{array}{cc}1 & 2 \\ 2 & -3\end{array}\right|\left|\begin{array}{l}x \\ y\end{array}\right|=\left|\begin{array}{c}-1 \\ 12\end{array}\right|$

$ \left|\begin{array}{c}x+2 y \\ 2 x-3 y\end{array}\right|$
$=\left|\begin{array}{c}-1 \\ 12\end{array}\right|$
$ x+2 y=-1 \ldots(1)$
$ \Rightarrow x=-1-2 y$
$ 2 x-3 y=12 \ldots(2)$
Putting the value of $x$ in $(2)$
$2(-1-2 y)-3 y=12$
$ \Rightarrow-7 y=14$
$ \Rightarrow y=-2$
from $(1)$
$x+2(-2)=-1$
$ \Rightarrow x=-1+4$
$ \Rightarrow x=3$
$ \left|\begin{array}{c}x+2 y \\ 2 x-3 y\end{array}\right|$
$=\left|\begin{array}{c}-1 \\ 12\end{array}\right|$
$ x+2 y=-1 \ldots(1)$
$ \Rightarrow x=-1-2 y$
$ 2 x-3 y=12 \ldots(2)$
Putting the value of $x$ in $(2)$
$2(-1-2 y)-3 y=12$
$ \Rightarrow-7 y=14$
$ \Rightarrow y=-2$
from $(1)$
$x+2(-2)=-1$
$ \Rightarrow x=-1+4$
$ \Rightarrow x=3$
