Level of water in measuring cylinder = V1 = 12.5 ml
The level of water in measuring cylinder when stone is immere
= V₂ = 21.0 ml
Volume of stone = V₂ – V₁
V = 21.0 – 12.5
V = 8.5 ml

Length of the book = 15 cm
height of the book = 2 cm high
the volume of the book = (length×breadth×height)
= (25×15×2)
= 750 cm³

(a)we know 1 cm cube is equal to 1 ml , therefore 500 cm³ is equal to 500 ml.
(b) 500 cm³ = 500 ml
500ml= 1/2 litre
1/2 litre = 0.5 litre.
