Points $E$ and $F$ are mid points of seg $A B$ and seg $A C$ of $\triangle A B C$ respectively. If $\mathrm{EF}=5.6$ then find the length of $\mathrm{BC}$.
Answer
In $\triangle \mathrm{ABC}$, point $\mathrm{E}$ and $\mathrm{F}$ are midpoints of side $\mathrm{AB}$ and side $\mathrm{AC}$ respectively.
$\mathrm{EF}=\frac{1}{2} \mathrm{BC}$ midpoint theorem
$5.6=\frac{1}{2} \mathrm{BC} \quad \therefore \mathrm{BC}=5.6 \times 2=11.2$
