$\frac{5\text{x}}{3}+\frac{2}{5}=1$
Subtracting $\frac{2}{5}$ from both sides: $\frac{5\text{x}}{3}+\frac{2}{5}-\frac{2}{5}=1-\frac{2}{5}$
$\Rightarrow\frac{5\text{x}}{3}=\frac{3}{5}$
