If the liquid is in$-$compressible then mass of liquid entering through left end, should be equal to mass of liquid coming out from the right end.
Therefore,
$M=m_{1}+m_{2}=A v_{1}=A v_{2}+1.5 A v$$=A \times 3=A \times 1.5+1.5 A v=v=1 \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}$
Hence, the velocity $v$ of the fluid is $1 \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}$.

A square gate of size $1\,m \times 1\,m$ is hinged at its mid-point. A fluid of density $\rho$ fills the space to the left of the gate. The force F required to hold the gate stationary is
In the following fig. is shown the flow of liquid through a horizontal pipe. Three tubes $A, B$ and $ C$ are connected to the pipe. The radii of the tubes $A, B $ and $C$ at the junction are respectively $ 2 cm, 1 cm$ and $2 cm.$ It can be said that the
A stone is projected vertically up from the bottom of a water tank. Assuming no water resistance it will go up and come down in same time but if water drag is present then the time it takes to go up, $t_{up}$ and the time it takes to come down, $t_{down}$ are related as
A $U$ -tube of small and uniform cross section contains water of total length $4H$. The height difference between the water columns on the left and on the right is $H$ when the valve $K$ is closed. The valve is suddenly open, and water is flowing from left to right. Ignore friction. The speed of water when the heights of the left and the right water columns are the same, is :-
In a cylindrical container open to the atmosphere from the top a liquid is filled upto $10\,\, m$ depth. Density of the liquid varies with depth from the surface as $\rho (h) = 100 + 6h^2$ where $h$ is in meter and $\rho$ is in $kg/m^3.$ The pressure at the bottom of the container will be : $($ atmosphere pressure $= 10^5\,\, Pa, \,g = 10\, m/sec^2)$
If $\rho$ is the density and $\eta$ is coefficient of viscosity of fluid which flows with a speed $v$ in the pipe of diameter $d$, the correct formula for Reynolds number $R _{ e }$ is ..............
A water barrel stands on a table of height $h$. If a small hole is punched in the side of the barrel at its base, it is found that the resultant stream of water strikes the ground at a horizonatal distance $R$ from the barrel. The depth of water in the barrel is
When a body falls in air, the resistance of air depends to a great extent on the shape of the body, $ 3 $ different shapes are given. Identify the combination of air resistances which truly represents the physical situation. (The cross sectional areas are the same).
