Physical geography is divided into four main subdivisions.
$(1)$ Geology $(2)$ Oceanography $(3)$ Meteorology and Climate $(4)$ Land Geography
$(1)$ Geomorphology: which involves the study of the types, origin and distribution of various topography on the surface of the earth, mountains, plateaus, plains, valleys, ravines and islands.
$(2)$ Oceanography: The study of the oceans on the surface of the earth, the chemical composition of the water of the oceans, the temperature of the sea water, tidal currents, ocean currents, the effect of hot and cold currents on the climate, marine life, mineral resources, seabed etc.
$(3)$ Climate and meteorology: including the atmosphere on earth, atmospheric components, temperature, air pressure, winds, cold and hot gases, humidity in the air, types of clouds, types of rainfall, etc.
$(4)$ Soil geography: A deep study of the position of loose soil on the upper surface of the soil is done in soil geography. These include soil composition, types, distribution and characteristics, use etc.
