By what number should we multiply $\frac{-8}{13}$ so that the product may be $24$?

Answer

Let the required number be $x$.
According to the question, $\frac{-8\text{x}}{13}=24$
$\text{x}=-\frac{13\times24}{8}$
$\text{x}=-13\times3$
$=-39$
 Hence, $\frac{-8}{13}$ should be multiplied by $-39$ to get the product $24$.
