"परितुष्टा यास्यति" is full of humour. Its humour is light, satiric and full of intelligence. The language of this play is simple and different situations in it generates laughter.
To inform about the arrival of Vasantsena, Chet asks some questions to Vidushaka. The last two questions "When does the mango tree blossom?" and "Who protects prosperous village" contain the name of Vasansena. Because the answer to the first question is Vasant and to the second question it is sena. Thus the combination of both the words make a complete word Vasantsena. The statements in the play 'परिवर्त्यभण', 'पादौ परिवर्त्य भण' and 'पद परिवर्तय' also generate laughter. It's a humorous arrangement of the words. According to Chet 'पादौ' means words but Vidyshaka takes it as legs, so he twists his legs. The sentence 'अहं ते मस्तके' (I will keep leg on your head) has also comic element. Thus, these questions indicates Chet's skill and intelligency to make Vidushaka speak the name of Vasantsena. This incident is the exaple of Shudraka's skill to generate laughter.
