Subtracting Eq. $(ii)$ from Eq. $(i)$, we get

${3 \mathrm{Mn}^{2+} \longrightarrow \mathrm{Mn}+2 \mathrm{Mn}^{3+}}$

${E^{\circ}=-1.18-(+1.51)=-2.69 \mathrm{V}}$
