The creator Brahma has given preaching to gods. demons and human beings in only one letter and that is "द". Here it means suppress, give charity and show mercy. For gods, "द" means 'दाम्पत' means to suppress senses for self-restraint. For human beings "द" stands for 'दत्त' which means give charity. While for demons, "द" stands for "दयध्वम्" which means show mercy to every living being. Thus the letter "द" has three different meanings and it is used in different reference in this lesson.
