There are three main forms of human behavior - functional, cognitive and emotive.
Cognitive development can bring about a change in human perception, thinking and attitudes.
Enlightenment means understanding, knowledge, the act of conveying true new information to another person in a way that becomes acceptable.
Cognitive change in people is very effective in eliminating prejudice. Like propaganda and advertisements, conversion can also be brought about by people with social prestige, social workers, religious leaders.
Attempts at mass marriages organized by most castes as well as by various organizations have led to a decline in personal prestige or costly marriages as Mr. Lokmanas has undergone an instructive change. The hype of health awareness, advertisements and various products have had such an impact on the educational aspect of the people that even the children of the villages started carrying waterbags to school.
