The texture, structure, composition and colour of igneous and stratified rocks change due to tectonic movements of the earth, and the resultant rocks are called 'Metamorphic' rocks. Two factors, heat and pressure, play very important part in the formation of this type of rock.
Minerals like marble, quartzite, graphite, slate, diamonds, etc. are available from metamorphic rocks.
