The Indian Constitution has accepted the principle of judicial review from the American constitution. The Supreme Court and the High Courts are empowered to ascertain/review consti tutionality of any law, executive action, constitutional amendment and judicial dectston. If any of these is not in conformity with the constitution, the court declares it as unconstitutional.
