$\because$ Lines are parallel
$\therefore 4 \mathrm{x}+1=180^{\circ}$.......... (co-interior angles)
But $\angle 1=5 x$ ...........(vertically opposite angles)
$\therefore 4 \mathrm{x}+5 \mathrm{x}=180^{\circ}$
$\Rightarrow 9 \mathrm{x}=180^{\circ}$
Hence $x=\frac{180^{\circ}}{9}=20^{\circ}$
$\because$ Lines are parallel
$\therefore 4 \mathrm{x}+1=180^{\circ}$.......... (co-interior angles)
But $\angle 1=5 x$ ...........(vertically opposite angles)
$\therefore 4 \mathrm{x}+5 \mathrm{x}=180^{\circ}$
