Give a contrasting description of communalism and secularism.

COMMUNALISM:
  1. Communalism is the problem which arises when religion is expressed in politics and is considered to be the basis.
  2. It happens when one community's demand is pitied against the other , one community is considered to be superior and the demands of one community is not useful for the other communities.
  3. Communalism makes the followers to decide that if the people belong to certain religion then they should belong to a particular community also if they belong to a different community then it is considered to be immaterial. 
  4. At worse cases, people conclude that people of different religions or community cannot live together in a country.
 SECULARISM:
  1. Secularism means if in a country or even a region even though there are various communities, religion and their majority , all are considered equal before the law.
  2. There is no national religion for a country
  3. The constitution tells that the people can follow whichever religion or beliefs they want to or they can there not following anything also.
  4. Constituion strictly prohibits discrimination based on religious bounds.
  5. The constitution or the government can interfere into the religious beliefs of various religions to ensure religious harmony in a country.
