On the basis of atmospheric
pressure, there are three main types of winds: $(1)$ Permanent winds $(2)$ Monsoon winds and $(3)$ Local (or Daily) winds.
$(1)$ Permanent winds : The winds which blow throughout the year from a certain direction in some parts of the surface of earth are called 'Permanent winds'. Trade winds, Westerlies and Polar winds are permanent winds.
$(2)$ Monsoon winds: Some winds on the surface of the earth blow according to the season. The winds which change their direction according to the season are called 'Monsoon (Seasonal) winds. These winds blow from south-west (Nairutya) direction during summer and from north-east (Ishaan) direction during winter. Monsoon winds blow in India. Myanmar, Bangladesh, etc. So these countries are called the countries of monsoon winds.
$(3)$ Local (or Daily) winds : In some regions on the surface of the earth, the winds originating for a short time due to the change in the atmospheric pressure are called "Local' (or Daily) winds. Sea and Land breezes, mountain and valley winds, 'loo' (Hot waves or Ushna lahar) and cold wave' or Sheet lahar, etc. are local winds.
