Answer
Humans are animals like cows, buffaloes, oxen, elephants, horses, tigers, lions etc.
Like other animals, it has a body.
All living beings have physical needs like air, water, food, sleep etc.
Looking at the way of life of non-human animals, it seems that weak animals are always afraid of strong animals. Strong animals attack weak animals.
Thus, non-human animals are treated like 'two parts of a sacrifice'.
Even in human society, sometimes justice like 'two parts of the victim' prevails. Because humans also have a tendency to fear and aggression similar to that found in other animals.
Thus, humans and animals have similarities in two things: $(1)$ the need for air, water, food, sleep, etc., and $(2)$ the impulse to fear and aggression.
If there is one thing that separates human beings from animals, it is religion.
As described in a Sanskrit verse, “Food, sleep, fear and sex are four things in common in animals and humans.
Religion is a human trait. A man without religion is like a beast. ”
Living a religious life is not possible for other animals.
Only human beings can live a religious life.
The human being who leads a religious life does not perish physically.
Like other animals, it needs food, sleep, and so on.
But he can be free from the instinct of fear and aggression and he can live a life superior to other animals.
Animals other than humans have no facility to be free from the impulse of fear and aggression.
That is why human birth is considered rare.
Religion makes man fearless.
If a person attains fearlessness through religious life, then the virtues of non-violence, truth, love, peace etc. shine in his life.
Hence, “ungodly people are like animals.”
