The process of avoiding pregnancy is known as contraception.
The three methods of contraception are:
  1. Mechanical barrier: In this method sperm does not reach the egg. Example - Condoms by males and Copper-T bu females.
  2. Chemical method : Oral contraceptive Pills change the hormonal balance of the body. So that the egg is not released and fertilisation cannot occur. Example : I-Pills, Saheli
  3. Surgical Methods: It is the most safest method in which the vas deferens of male and fallopian tubes in females can be surgically blocked.
