Question
Sleeping under a tree at night is not advisable. Explain.

Answer

During the day, in the presence of sunlight, green plants take $CO _2$ and release $O _2$ for the formation of glucose. But during night time, plants are unable to perform photosynthesis so they do not use $CO _2$. On the other hand, plants continuously respire during which $O _2$ is taken in and $CO _2$ is given out. This leads to increase in $CO _2$ concentration in the air especially around the plant itself. Thus, $CO _2$ concentration is high during night. If we sleep under the tree, we may feel suffocated due to the increased amount of $CO _2$ in air around us.
