Question
Solve the following equation : $\frac{y}{3}+7=2$

Answer

$\frac{ y }{3}+7=2$
$\Rightarrow \frac{ y }{3}+7-7$
$=2-7 \ldots ($ Substracting  $7$  from both sides $)$
$\Rightarrow \frac{ y }{3}=-5$
$\Rightarrow \frac{ y }{3} \times 3$
$=-5 \times 3 . .($ Multiplying by  $3)$
$\therefore y=-15$
