Translation: May all directions be my friend.
Explaination: This line has been taken from the poem called "वेदामृतम्". The Vedas contain preachings about different rites and prohibitions which are useful to society. There are some prayers to obtain capability so that these rites and prohibitions can be observed properly. These prayers develope our spiritual power.
This mantra from "वेदामृतम्" contains prayer to obtain fearlessness. The prayer says that make us fearless from friend or enemy, from that which is known, from that which can not be seen and from day and night. The devotee further prays that may all the directions be his friend. A fearless person is the happiest person but a person having huge amount of wealth and holding prestigious position can not be called fortunate if he lives a fearful life. In this mantra, the devotee prays to god to grant him fearless life and may all the directions be his friend.
