Subtract:
$x^4+3 x^3 y^3+5 y^4$ from $2 x^4-x^3 y^3+7 y^4$.

Answer

We have,
$2 x^4-x^3 y^3+7 y^4-\left(x^4+3 x^3 y+5 y^4\right)$
$2 x^4-x^3 y^3+7 y^4-x^4-4 x^3 y^3-5 y^3$
on combining the like terms.
$=2 x^4-x^4-x^3 y^3-3 x^3 y^3+7 y^4-5 y^4=x^4-4 x^3 y^3+2 y^4$
