As a result, people are using nature beyond its carrying capacity. Our present technology is creating a number of environmental problems. A number of non-degradable materials are being produced in present day through the production technology. Following are the some important reasons responsible for the heavy burden on nature:

1. Rise in human population in underdeveloped countries.
2. Affluent consumption style in developed countries.
3. Misuse of production technology in almost all the countries and poor planning of development.

As a result of above, there is a reckless use of resources creating negative effects on the society.
The negative effects of development on nature are:
