Two supplementary angles differ by 44°. Find the angles.

Sum of two supplementary angles = 180°
Let first angle = x
Then second angle = 180° - x
x - (180° - x) = 44°
⇒ x - 180° + x = 44°
⇒ 2x = 44° + 180° = 224°
⇒ 2x = 224°
⇒ x = 112°
First angle = 112°
And second angle = 180° - 112° = 68°
Hence angles are 68°, 112°
