There are three types of miseries in a human being's life mental tension, physical pains or diseases and troubles caused by external factors. 'व्याघयः' means diseases which affect a person's body, heart and sense organs. Therefore, one should take care of his body. If a person takes precautions in eating habits and does exercise regularly, then he does not need any vaidya.
  Exercise is essential to remain disease free to make our body and organs strong and to enhance stamina. By doing exercise, one can keep diseases away and can control the defects caused by Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Therefore it is rightly said that, 'शरीर माद्यं खलु धर्म साधनम्'.
