(i) Grass holds the soil with their roots and also reduce the flow of water which is responsible for erosion. However, due to grazing, this grass over soil is lost and, hence, the rate of soil erosion increases.
(ii) Movement of cattle while grazing is also responsible for soil to become lose and get getting eroded. That is why we must control overgrazing.
