Question
What do you mean by diffraction of light ?

Answer

Diffraction of Light : It is observed that light normally travels in straight lines; but light passing through narrow apertures or by the side of small objects does not proceed along straight lines. It shows bending near obstacles. This bending of light near obstacles is called diffraction of light.
