Pest Resistant Plants : Many nematodes are parasites on animals, species of plants and man. Meloidogyne incognitia is a nematode, infects roots of tobacco plant and reduces its productivity. To inhibit the inlection of this nematode, a new method is a dapted, which is based upon RNA; (RNA interference technology). RNA is aprotective method in all the eukaryotic organisms. In this method, specific mRNA binds with complementary double stranded RNA and becomes inactive. It results in inhibition of mRNA trasfer. The sources of this ds RNA are intermediate RNAs, formed after replication of complementary RNA genomes.
