During winter monsoon, the North-East trade winds are moisture laden as they blow from land to sea. Therefore, most of the part of the country do not get rainfall and is dry season. They are called land bearing winds as these winds are planetary. This is because of the northeast trades wind during winter season there will be no rainfall.
