(i) The Supreme Court tried to solve these problems by devising the concept of Public Interest Litigation or PIL..
It made the access to courts easy for poor people by allowing anyone to file a case on behalf of victims. It also simplified the judicial procedures.
(ii) One of the successful examples of the PII. includes the Mid-day meal programme in schools. Under this programme, the children in government and government aided schools are provided with free meals.
