Why is sulphur estimated as $\mathrm{BaSO}_4$ and not as $\mathrm{MgSO}_4$​​​​​​​?

$\mathrm{BaSO}_4$ is insoluble in water whereas $\mathrm{MgSO}_4$ is soluble in water. Therefore, sulphur is converted into and then converted into white precipitate of $\mathrm{BaSO}_4$.
