Jawaharlal Nehru

Jawaharlal Nehru was the architect of modern India. He was born on November 14, 1889 in Allahabad. He was educated in England. Nehru's political career began in 1916. He met Gandhi at the Congress session in Lucknow. Afterwards, he jumped into freedom struggle and left his law practice. He was a great writer also. He was the first Prime Minister of India. His tenure was between 1947-1964. He died in 1964.
