Corona Pandemic At present the whole world is in clutch of corona pandemic. This is an infections disease caused by corona virus. It is named Covid-19. (“CO” stands for corona; “VI” for virus; “19" the year in which it appeared). This disease (COVID-19) orginated in the city of Wuhan, China. This virus affected more than 200 countries and crores of people, with discouraging morbidity and mortality figures.
The clinical picture of patients with COVID-19 has a pattern of respiratory dominance and depends on the tropism of the virus towards the target organs of the body, because SARSCOV-2 uses the ACE-2 receptor for its entry into the host cell.
This receptor is highly expressed in multiple body tissues, including lung, gastrointestinal, kidney and cardiac tissue, explaining the symptoms present in the proteome of the disease. With the growing darkness of COVID-19 engulfing the entire world, forcing people to stay home, silencing the busiest places of the world with a wave of fear and death. There has been some ray of light on environmental issues.
The current situation has made us value the organizations who keep working day and night to make our life easy and smooth. We should be thankful to our government and front line workers. We should also be grateful to health workers who are putting their lives in danger to save thousands of lives. Lockdown is giving us many lessons about life. Efforts are being made to win from this pandemic by vaccination campaign in all countress of world. Many people has lost their lives, their jobs, loved ones. But this too shall pass.
