Signature to be done in case of various business enterprises: Various types of business enterprises are sole proprietorship, partnership firm, company etc. In various enterprises signature is done as follows
(1) Sole Partnership : In this case, owner signs with his name. If signature is not clear then name is written below the signature.

(2) Partnership Firm : Any of the partners can sign the business letters of the firm. In this case he! she either signs and then mentions the name of the firm and signs below it.

Many a times correspondence is undertaken by clerks, in this case they either write name of the firm with signature or affix rubber stamp on it. Below the stamp or name of the firm they sign the using words ‘For’. (3) Signature on someone elses behalf (per pro signature) : When an other person is given the authority to sign the letter on behalf of someone else. In such cases power of attorney is given for signature per procurationem. At time head of different departments officially provides rights to sign on their behalf for certain routine correspondence. It is written PP. in abbreviation or per. pro.
In case of limited companies, most of the times, some accountable officer is given the responsibility to sign the letters on behalf of the company. Generally they sign on behalf of Manager, Secretary or Managing Director.
