Human beings depend on plants for various reasons as follows:
a. We get food from plants, e.g. fruits, vegetables.
b. Fungi like yeasts help in fermentation and production of antibiotics. Some bacteria are used to make cheese and alcohol.
c. we get ruooer, paper, wood, jute, medicines, cotton etc. from plants.
d. Oxygen needed for respiration by humans is released by plants during photosynthesis.
e. Plants help in maintaing a balance of gases in nature.
