Question
यमध्वगो गृहगतः स्मरति ।

Answer

A traveller having reached home remember like this.
Explanation: This line has been taken from the poem 'अन्योक्तयः' In this Anyokti, the poet says that a traveler take refuge under a shady tree. Such trees are fortunate that the traveler remember them even after having reached home. Thus under the pretext of describing benevolent nature of trees, the gentle people engaged in the welfare activities are praised here. The famous saying in Sanskrit goes like this, 'परोपकाराय फलन्ति वृक्षाः' A shloka that describes the benevolent nature of trees goes like this,
"छायामन्यस्य कुर्वन्ति तिष्ठन्ति स्वयमातपे ।
फलान्ययि परार्थाय वृक्षाः सत्पुरुषा इव ॥"
Means trees tolerate scorching heat like gentle people but provide shelter and fruits to others. In the similar manner, gentle people also engage in the activities of welfare and that is why, they are remembered for ever. Thus, a person who spreads the fragrance of benevolence is unique. Thus under the pretext of tree, the poet describes the importance of the benevolent people engaged in the betterment of the mankind.
