Answer
Translation: Paths covered with grass when not trimmed became unclear.
Explanation: The rainy season has been beautifully described in the 20th chapter of the tenth section of Bhagwat Purana. This is the first line of the sixth shloka of "वर्षावर्णनम्".
When the rain arrives, the paths on the earth are covered with grass. The grass grows on every path and due to this, the paths can not be seen properly. The paths look unclear when they are not trimmed.
As due to lack of practice, Brahmins forget the knowldge of the Vedas and they are deprived of the knowledge of the Vedas. In the same manner, when the rain falls, the grass grows on every path and the paths become unclear as they are not trimmed. The paths are forgotten too. Here, the paths covered with the grass have been compared with the knowledge of the Vedas which have been forgotten due to lack of practice.

गृहेषु तप्ता निर्विण्णा यथा भगवज्जनागमे।

Translation: By the arrival of the devotees of god, the distressed and exhausted householders feel joy.
Explanation: This is the second line of the seventh shloka of "वर्षावर्णनम्". This shloka says that, "By the arrival of the devotees of god, the distressed and exhausted householders feel joy. In the similar manner, considering the arrival of clouds as festival, the peacoks felt happy.
The peacocks considering the arrival of clouds as festival are compared with the distressed householders. Being fedup with the scorching heat when peacocks see clouds and lightning in the sky and hear the thunderstorm, they feel too much happy and spreading their feathers they start dancing. The householders get fedup of the scorching heat in summer and in winter they tremble with cold but they feel happy when the clouds arrive in the rainy season. Similarly, when the devotees of god arrive, the distressed and exhausted householders feel joy.

Translation: As in Kali Yuga, the effect of the deceitful people is experienced and not of the Vedas
Explanation: This line has been taken from the 20th chapter of Bhagwat Purana containing the description of the rainy season. In the darkness of night, the fireflies glow with their wings but not planets. In the same way, the effect of the deceitfiul people is experienced in Kali Yuga due to their sins while the effect of the Vedas gets destroyed. Here, the fireflies glowing in the darkness of night is compared with the planets that can not be seen while the effect of the deceitful people has been compared with the knowledge of the Vedas.

Translation: When the time arrived, the sun started releasing water (the rain) with its rays.
Explanation: The rainy season has been beautifully described in the 20th chapter of the tenth section of Bhagwat Purana. The second line of the second shloka says that, "Having drunk water for eight months from the earth, the sun started releasing it when the time arrived."
The sun carries water upward from the earth in the form of vapour for eight months during summer and winter. This is how, the sun collects water for eight months and when the time arrives means when the rainy season sets in, it starts releasing the water (the rain) in the form of clouds with its rays. So when the rainy season sets in, the water falls on the earth through clouds.

Translation: All the creatures living in water and on land adopt beautiful look by consuming the rain water.
Explanation: The poet has beautifully described the beauty of rainy season using the figures of speech "Upama" and Anushtup metre. The poet says that - By consuming new water (rain water), all the creatures living in water or on land feel happy. The earth looks splendid as if it has drapped a green sari! Due to the arrival of water in reservois, the acquatic creatures enjoy very much. Moreover, the farmers too become happy seeing their fields covered with crops.
