सप्तमं वैशिष्ट्यम्। संस्कृतसाहित्ये दशकुमारचरितनाम्ना प्रसिद्धं कथापुस्तकं वर्तते। तस्य सप्तमे उच्छ्‌वासे एकं पात्रं प-वर्गप्रयोगरहितानि वाक्यानि वदति। वर्णमालायाः अमुकान् वर्णान् विहाय संवादकरणं संस्कृते एव संभवति, नान्यत्र ।

Translation :
The seventh special feature. There is a famous book of stories named Kadambari in Sanskrit literature. In the seventh chapter of that book, a character speaks sentences in which no letter from the प-वर्ग (group of letters beginning with (प) is used. Conversing without using a particular letter of the alphabet is possible only in Hindi (and) nowhere else.

अस्ति गोदावरीतीरे विशालः शाल्मलीतरुः। विविधेभ्यः देशेभ्यः समागताः बहवः विहगाः तत्र रात्रौ निवसन्ति। तेषु लघुपतनकनामा वायसः अपि एकतमः अस्ति। अथ कदाचित प्रभातकाले स वायसः कृतान्तं द्वितीयम् एव अटन्तं व्याधमपश्यत ।
Translation : There was a large silk-cotton tree on the banks on the river of Ganga. Many travellers who had come from various countries used to stay there at night. Among them was also a crane by the name Laghupatanaka. Now once the crow saw a hunter like the second Bhimsen moving about in the morning.
