There are four main factors that affect mood formation -.
(1) Family (2) Socialization (3) Real experience (4) Effects of communication / mass media.
Socialization: Socialization means to assimilate social customs, values, norms, living and thinking.
Process From birth to death, human beings are socially formed through the process of socialization.
Socialization is a lifelong learning process.
Since the social structure of each society is different, the socialization of different person in the same society is also different.
The process of socialization undergoes rapid changes due to the interaction between different societies.
The child is socialized according to the different castes, religions, customs, lifestyles found in different societies.
After family, school, religion, culture, literatures are all factors that affect social knowledge.
A child raised in a religiously conservative family has a constructive attitude towards religion or customs.
Eating habits also become part of socialization according to language, province and geographical area.
E.g. in Gujarat, dal-rice, bread-vegetables, in Punjab, milk-yogurt, cheese and in South India, coconut and rice are mostly used in food which develops the attitude towards that food in their children.
Respect for elders, hospitality, and dress are also important factors in socializing.
