Question
Explain the expectation based principle.

Answer

  • In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says, "Do karma, do not expect fruit" but it is difficult for human beings to implement this.
  • Every person who does an activity or behavior has an expectation as a result.
  • When a behavior or activity is completed, work satisfaction is obtained if the expectation against that behavior is met.
  • E.g. When an employee is called to work on a holiday, the employee does not refuse, but it happens that the holiday is spoiled.
  • But when the employee is going home in the evening or at the end of the month, he will be happy to go if he is not called again to meet the expectation of the employee if the daily amount is paid to him according to his salary.
