The print media is one of the modern mass media.
Printed media includes newspapers, books, magazines, posters, hoardings, pamphlets, etc.
Gutenberg developed the printing press (printing technology) in Germany in 1440.
Newspapers were started by printing news in the form of small pamphlets in the early days.
Newspapers in India originated in the late 18th century.
In January, 1780, James August Hockey published the weekly Bengal Gazette in English.
