Being violent by nature, how can I trust you ?
Explanation: This line has been taken from the story 'कङ्कणस्य तु लोभेन' of Hitopesh composed by Vishnu Sharma. In this line, addressing the old tiger, the traveller says, "Being violent by nature, how can I trust you?" The theme of this story is that how an old tiger shrewdly tries to trap its prey. The tiger has become old and weak so it can not hunt animals as it did in its youth. So it tries to trap traveller by offering golden bracelet it has. He knows that human being is greedy by nature and soon the traveller will..get trapped. The traveller becomes ready to take risk. He asks the tiger where the golden bracelet is. The tiger shows him the bracelet by spreading its hand. At that time the traveller says, "Being violent by nature, how can I trust you ?"
Thus this statement indicates that an animal can not give up its violent nature. Even though, the travelled takes risk due to greed and is killed by the tiger.
