दौवारिकस्व सेवानिष्ठा — Sanskrit STD 9 — Question

लोके यद्वस्तु एकस्मै रोचते, तदन्यस्मै न रोचते इत्यतः विचित्ररुचिरयं संसारः। एकस्मिन् परिवारे जातानां सामानाचारविचाराणां जनानामपि भिन्ना भिन्ना रुचिर्भवति, किम्पुनः विभिन्नेषु परिवारेषु उत्पन्नानां जनानां वार्ता? समान- पितृकेषु पुत्रेषु कश्चित् मधुरं रोचयते, कश्चित् लवणं कश्चित् चाम्लं रसमिति। एवं हि कश्चित् काव्यं रसयति, कश्चित् नाट्यं, कश्चित् शिल्पं, कश्चित् च गणितम्। एवमेव कस्मैचित् शृंगारः प्रियो भवति, कस्मैचित् वीरः, कस्मैचित् करुणः, कस्मैचित् च हास्यरसः। विरलाय कस्मैचित् जनाय बीभत्सरसोऽपि रोचति इति नानात्वं रुचीनां व्यवस्थितं भवति।

Translation :
In this world the thing that one (person) dislikes is not liked by the other, so this world is empty of people of various tastes. Persons born in the same family (and) having similar manners and thoughts also have  the same tastes. What can be said of those born in different kinds of families? Among the children having the same parents one likes sweet, one likes salty and one likes sour. Indeed in the same way, someone likes poetry, someone (likes) drama, someone (likes) sculpture and someone likes mathematics. In the same way, someone is fond of shringar (erotic), some of heroism, some of pathos and some of comic or humourous (literature). A very rare person likes the sentiment of disgust also. Thus the variety of likings is established.

प्रयतिष्ये / प्रयततु / प्रयतते

सामान्य भविष्यकाल उतमपुरुष बहुवचन रूपं चित्वा लिखत |
भजिषय्ते, भजिषयेते, भजिष्यन्ते

प्रदत्तस्य श्लोकस्य अनुवाददोषं दूरीकृत्य अनुवादं पुनः लिखत ।
एकः चातकशिशुः आसीत्‌ । स एकदा तृषया पीडितः जनन्याः समीपं व्रजति वदति च, '“अम्ब । तृषा मां पीडयति । अहं जलं पातुम्‌ इच्छामि । सम्प्रति मेषजलं न मिलति, अतः तडागजलमेव पातुम्‌ इच्छामि ।'* जननी वदति, "बाल । वयं तु मेघजलम्‌ एव पिबामः तडागजलं न पिबामः । एषः अस्माकं कुलस्य आचारः । अतः त्वं तडागजलं पातुम्‌ न शव्नोषि'' - इति ।

Translation: There was an old one of the Chataka. Once he being afflicted by hunger goes to mother and says, "Mother, I am thirsty (Lit. -thirst troubles me.) I wish to drink water. Now the water of the cloud is not available so I wish to drink the water of the river only." Mother says, "Child, but we drink only the water of the cloud. We do not drink the water of the cloud. This is the tradition of our family. So you cannot drink the water of the lake."

कथयेम / अकथयिष्यत् / कथयिष्ये

ग्रहीष्यामः / अपश्यत् / समागच्छतः

प्रदत्तस्य श्लोकस्य अनुवाददोषं दूरीकृत्य अनुवादं पुनः लिखत ।
चातकशिशुः कथयति, “अम्ब ! महती मे तृषा । अधुना आकाशे मेघान्‌ न पश्यामि । कदा मेघः वर्षिष्यति कदा च अहं मेघजलं पातुं शक्नोमि, इति न जानामि । अतः तृषया पीडितोऽहं तडागजलं पातुं गच्छामि ।''

Translation: The old one of the Chataka says, "Mother, I am very full. Now I do not see the sun in the sky. I don't know when the cloud will shower and when I will be able to drink the water of the cloud. So being afflicted by hunger, I am going to the lake to drink water."
